Bowling Section

Here at Longton VM we have an excellent venue for Crown Green Bowling, the main Lounge Bar looks out across a covered veranda and over our two floodlight Bowling Greens. The greens are open for Social Bowling, for Practice, League and Cup Matches and Bowling Competitions, as well as for Private Hire, between March and December each year. Closing only for January and February to allow for essential grounds maintenance to take place. We have a thriving Bowling Section with Men’s Teams playing in the Preston, Leyland and Burscough Leagues and Ladies Teams playing in the Preston and Southport Leagues. We also have a number of Vets Teams playing in both the Preston and Leyland Vets Leagues, the Leyland Vets Team is a mixed team and both Vets teams are open to anyone over the age of 60 years. We have also forged links with our local schools hosting annual inter-schools bowling competitions and bowling tuition.
